How about a fun, FREE creative challenge for the summer?!

If you’re looking for ways of keeping yourself or the kids occupied this summer, then I have the solution!
Each week, starting on Monday 12 July, I’ll be running a free, fun creative challenge – that anyone can join in with!

Every Monday afternoon across the rest of July and August, I’ll send out a creative prompt for that week – a word or phrase for you to respond to in whatever creative way you like. Sign up to receive our blogs, and you’ll get the prompts straight to your inbox. Or follow us on instagram and you’ll find them there too.

So, for example, from the prompt you might be inspired to paint, draw, write a poem, make a collage, sing, bake a cake, or make a sculpture! There are no rules – you can make whatever the prompt inspires you to!

You can spend as much or as little time on it as you wish. Use up things you find at home – reuse and recycle, go hunting around your house or garden and use the things you find. There’s absolutely no need to buy anything new in order to take part. Great for the planet, and a fun challenge for your creative brain!

Once you’re finished, take a quick snap of whatever you’ve made and either share it on Instagram tagging @bumblebeebooksonline or using #bumblebeecreativity – or if you aren’t on social media, share your photo via our website here.

Anyone of any age can join in – so children and grown ups will be responding to exactly the same prompts. Get grannies, uncles and toddlers involved – everyone’s welcome! (And I’ll be joining in the fun too!)

You definitely don’t need to be an artist or expert – just have a go. The most important thing is that it’s fun and FREE! So why not take 20 minutes out of each week to create something? There’s no need to take part every week, but of course it would be lovely if you did!

Come and join the creative hive!

I hope to see you there.

With love and creativity,
Imogen at Bumblebee HQ xx
